Keep Hurting…

So about a month ago my 16 year old sister (aided & abetted by our 13 year old brother) got it in her head to start painting the kitchen. Now it seems like an industrious and good thing to do. I walked her through it and told her how to paint properly and how to clean up the paint from the very expensive wood trim.

She didn’t listen to me. She did what she wanted. She didn’t clean the dust and grease from the wall. Just painted right over it. She didn’t cut in or remove the light switch plates. Just painted right over it. Didn’t take a wet rag & wipe away the wet paint from the wood trim. She just let it dry. She never went back to clean up any of her mess. For lack of better word it was a shitty job. She just didn’t listen to me. So I’m mad, I’m angry, I’m hurt at the disrespect.

Now yesterday. Went to use the bathroom. My bathroom mind you. Someone took paint and rolled it on the bathtub, got paint on the wood trim, got paint in the grout.

You couldn’t fix and clean up the kitchen job you did but now you’re going to paint the bathroom? Didn’t wash the walls, Didn’t patch the holes, Didn’t sand down the drywall holes that were patched. Didn’t even remove the ant bait trap from the wall. Not your father’s bathroom or mother’s bathroom, but my bathroom.

So when I went in the bathroom they had only one wall painted and the bathtub. Of course I yelled and screamed because of the anger that was in me because of what they did the last time and they just repeated it. After I left the house to go work and they continued to randomly roll paint on the ceiling and the other walls after all of my yelling.

What pissed me off even more is that 2 days ago I had a paint job and I couldn’t find any of my paint supplies because they’re always messing with everything. I had to go out and buy new stuff but they found it so they could screw around with it.

The anger inside of me is like a Volcano. When is it going to stop? When are they going to stop? When will they quit destroying me and my property?
