Keep Hurting…

I have a friend whom I text and call and spent together time
The moments we stole were just momentary
Occasional pockets in time

Adventures we had
Adventures we made
and laughter all around.
No great demand on our time was had
it all seemed safe and sound

But then he made a more than a friend
And our friendship hit the ground.

No texting or calling or time spent together
No Adventures to be made
Because hes my friend
And I understood
why in the background I had to Fade.

It still hurt that he ghosted me and pretended that he cared
He acted like it was all my fault
When from him I didn’t hear.

I could of fade but in my heart he would always be my friend
Instead he turned around and blamed me for
His jealous girlfriend

Thank you for being my friend he would say
Besties that we are
But he couldn’t rejoice or share with me
His new relationship so far.

How do you dump your friend after sharing all we shared?
For someone that you’ve known for a little more than a year

I feel he’s lost something valuable
Sometimes he might feel cursed
Because his balls now reside
Inside his girlfriends purse
